Anthony Anderson is set to host The National Action Network’s Keepers of the Dream Award ceremony this year.
The National Action Network, better known as NAN, announced that Anderson will be returning as this year’s host at the award show. The event will be held at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel on April 10th, at 7 pm. The ceremony is the kick-off to a four-day NAN Convention, which is set to begin on April 10th and end on April 13th.
In a statement, Rev. Al Sharpton said, “Keepers of the Dream is a testament to the change-makers who use their platforms to advance Dr. King’s dream for an equitable nation”. The founder of NAN added, “I am honored to recognize this year’s honorees, who are beacons of hope as we fight back against the attacks on DEI, voting rights, access to healthcare, and other key issues.”
This year’s ceremony will honor Whoopi Goldberg, Alexis McGill Johnson, the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Action Fund; Dr. Philip Ozuah, President and CEO of Montefiore Einstein, Carolina Wanga, President and CEO at Essence, and Michelle Gadsden-Williams, Managing Director & Global Head of Diversity.
