Ayesha Curry, wife of NBA star Stephen Curry, was reportedly involved in a disturbing incident with Paris police during the 2024 Summer Olympics. The confrontation occurred after Team USA secured a gold medal in men’s basketball, with Stephen Curry playing a crucial role in the victory.

According to footage shared on social media, Ayesha Curry and her mother-in-law, Sonya Curry, were trying to exit the Olympic grounds when they were stopped by police. The delay was due to the French President Emmanuel Macron also exiting the grounds at the same time. In the video, Sonya Curry is seen confronting the officers, accusing them of hitting Ayesha’s newborn, Caius, on the head.

“So even after him hitting the baby in the head, there’s still nothing y’all can do to get them out of here?” Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green asked the authorities, referencing the alleged incident.

Ayesha Curry Left in Tears

Throughout the encounter, Ayesha was visibly upset, holding baby Caius in her arms while wiping away tears. Although she remained silent, the tension was palpable. Sonya Curry continued to demand that they be allowed to return to their vehicle, expressing her frustration at being held up.

“They won’t let us go back over there where we came from,” Sonya Curry told the police. “They won’t let the driver come here and they won’t let us go back over there.”

A man, who appeared to be translating for the police, offered an apology: “Sorry about the baby.” However, the clip does not show the alleged moment when the baby was struck.

As of now, Stephen and Ayesha Curry have not publicly addressed the incident. The couple recently welcomed Caius, their fourth child, who was born prematurely in May. Despite the unsettling situation, the family’s focus remains on celebrating Stephen’s first Olympic gold medal.
