Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is adding another venture to her impressive portfolio with the launch of her new whiskey brand, SirDavis. The Grammy-winning artist announced the brand on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself with a glass of SirDavis in hand and showcasing the sleek bottle adorned with a golden horse emblem. In her post, Beyoncé quoted lyrics from her 2024 hit “Bodyguard,” writing, “Davis in my bones,” while directing fans to the official SirDavis website.

SirDavis, an American whiskey, is a collaboration between Beyoncé, Moët Hennessy, and renowned master distiller Bill Lumsden. The whiskey is described as a blend of complex rye and elegant malted barley, finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The result is a harmonious blend of spice with subtle fruit notes. Even before its official release, SirDavis has already made a mark in the industry, winning several awards in 2023.

Beyoncé’s Tribute to Family

The name SirDavis carries deep personal significance for Beyoncé. The brand is named after her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, whom she honors through this venture. In a heartfelt letter shared on the SirDavis website, Beyoncé reflects on her great-grandfather’s legacy. “I feel you in the landscapes. Your laughter rolling in the rye. What songs did you sing? What gaps did you fill? Great-grandfather, did you dream of me? Your legacy is a force that drives me,” she writes. The name also pays homage to her son, Sir, further cementing the family connection.

Beyoncé’s fans can preorder a 750ml bottle of SirDavis for $89.99 through the website, where they can also explore a range of specialty cocktails, including the Honey Bee, Texas Buckin’, and Davis Old Fashion. For those eager to experience SirDavis in person, the brand’s flagship location in Houston, Texas—Beyoncé’s hometown—is set to open its doors in 2025.
