Philip ‘Daddae’ Harvey Of ‘Soul II Soul’ Has Passed Away

Philip “Daddae” Harvey, founding member of Soul II Soul has passed away at 60. 

The news of Harvey’s sudden passing was announced on the group’s social media pages. “The Harvey family are truly saddened to announce the passing of Philip “Daddae” Harvey on the afternoon of Tuesday 10th September 2024. He had some health issues, however, his death was sudden and unexpected.” 

The statement continued, “We are all in shock and are focusing on looking after our Mum, his son and each other. Philip leaves with us his love of family, his passion for music, and his excitement of finding joy in the simplest things.”  

Soul II Soul was formed in 1988 in the United Kingdom. They’re best known for hits such as “Keep On Movin,” and “Back to Life.” While in the group, Harvey played the guitar, percussion, and keyboards. 

No cause of death has been revealed. We will keep his family members and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
