The Jackson family has released a heartfelt statement following the sudden passing of Tito Jackson, aged 70. Tito, a beloved member of the iconic Jackson 5, died earlier this week, leaving his family and fans devastated.

In a joint statement shared on social media on Tuesday, Tito’s brothers Jackie, Marlon, Jermaine, and Randy expressed their grief and disbelief. “We are beyond devastated and still in total shock that our dear brother Tito is no longer with us,” the post read. “He was always selfless, kind, laid back, cool, and always humble. He was loved wherever he went.”

Jacksons: “Our World Will Never Be the Same”

The Jackson brothers reflected on the pivotal role Tito played in the creation of the Jackson 5. “Everything began for us when Tito broke that guitar string and The Jackson 5 were born,” they shared, recalling their early days as performers. The brothers noted that they had performed with Tito just days before his death in Munich, Germany, unaware it would be their final show together. “We could never have dreamt that would be our last time with him,” they said. “We lived our lives on stage, and Tito was on stage till the end, spreading joy and love.”

The statement ended with a tribute to Tito’s place in the afterlife. “Tito is now resting peacefully with our brother Michael, our brother Brandon, and our father. Our world will never be the same. He will always be forever in our hearts. We love you so much, Tito.”

Tito’s son, Taj Jackson, also paid tribute to his father, sharing the depth of his grief. “The truth is I am not okay, and I don’t know if I ever will be,” Taj wrote in a personal reflection. “This photo is now my constant reminder that I have three angels watching over me,” referring to his father, mother, and uncle Michael.

Tito’s sister, La Toya, shared footage of their last interaction, describing her brother as a “kind and gentle soul.” She expressed how he was always trying to capture moments to share with others.

The Jackson family remains united in grief, mourning the loss of one of their own.
