Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently in jail awaiting trial after his bond was denied twice by a New York City Judge.
We reported that the media mogul was indicted on racketeering and sex trafficking charges on Sept. 16. Since then, his team has worried about his mental health. Reports say that Diddy has been placed on suicide watch as a preventive measure due to him being “in shock and his mental state is unclear.”
John Fuller, celebrity prison coach said in an interview, “Diddy is likely used to getting his way given his A-list status.” He continued, “However, those days are over, at least for now- and that may become complicated for him to process.”
Diddy, 54, is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, N.Y. The facility has been known to have a high number of inmate suicides and murders. Michael Cohen, former lawyer for Trump said, “When he wakes up, he’s staring at cinder block painted white walls, as opposed to whatever the decor of his mansions were.”
The Bureau of Justice Statistics reports that suicide was named the leading cause of death in jail between 2000 and 2019. In 2019, the number of deaths was two times the rate of deaths in the general public.
Diddy is set to appear in court on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 10 am. What are your thoughts on this?
