Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo recently tied the knot with his longtime partner, Mariah Riddlesprigger, in a romantic ceremony in Greece. The couple, who have been together for several years, chose Giannis’ homeland for their destination wedding. Antetokounmpo and Riddlesprigger shared this exciting news during an interview, where the NBA player opened up about their special day.

A Celebration of Love

Reflecting on the joyous occasion, Antetokounmpo expressed his happiness. “We had an incredible few days there together. We had fun. It was a celebration of our love,” he said. The decision to get married in Greece was a mutual one for the couple, as Giannis noted, “We always talked about returning, and we chose it as a couple.” The ceremony was held four hours away from Antetokounmpo’s hometown, making the location deeply personal for the NBA star.

The wedding was attended by close friends, family, and many of Giannis’ teammates. “Most of my teammates, Bucks teammates, ex-teammates… they were there… friends and business partners,” he said. The couple’s three children—Liam, 4, Maverick, 3, and their one-year-old daughter, Eva—were also part of the celebration.

Antetokounmpo Private Romance

Though their relationship has always been relatively low-key, Giannis and Mariah gave fans a glimpse of their love in 2022 when they announced their engagement. At the time, Giannis revealed the news during a press conference, saying, “Soon I’m going to be married to this beautiful woman next to me.”

In recent weeks, speculation about their upcoming wedding began when Mariah posted photos from her bridal shower on social media. In one photo, she stood in front of a sign that read “Mrs.”—a clear hint of what was to come.

Now, back in Milwaukee, the newlyweds have resumed their philanthropic efforts. They continue their work with the Milwaukee Diaper Mission, helping families in need. Mariah shared, “You shouldn’t have to choose between paying rent and feeding your kids. We’re doing all we can to help.”
