John Legend is spreading holiday cheer once again with the announcement of his 2024 Christmas tour. The multi-talented singer and songwriter revealed that he will be returning to the stage for a series of intimate performances this holiday season. The tour will feature music from his 2018 album A Legendary Christmas, which was produced by Raphael Saadiq and includes contributions from legendary artists like Stevie Wonder.

“My hope for these shows is that they feel like a gathering of friends by the fireside — where the music brings warmth, joy, and a sense of togetherness,” said Legend in a conversation with PEOPLE. The Grammy-winning artist aims to create an experience that brings audiences closer, through both music and heartfelt stories.

Legend Christmas Tradition Continues

For many fans, John Legend’s Christmas performances have become a holiday tradition. The singer first toured with A Legendary Christmas in 2018, and this year, he promises the same level of festivity, along with some personal touches. “Over the years, I’ve experienced the holidays in so many ways, and each version of me — from my childhood to now as a father — has shaped the way I approach this season,” Legend shared.

The tour is set to feature a mix of holiday classics and personal reflections. Legend plans to take fans on a journey through his life, sharing not only music but also stories that celebrate the festive spirit. “I want to share that journey with the audience, through songs and stories that celebrate both the festive spirit and the moments that bring us closer,” he added.
