Nelly’s clothing line, Apple Bottoms, which took the early 2000s by storm, are officially making a return.

Apple Bottoms, founded by Nelly back in 2003, is a nostalgic clothing brand designed to accentuate women’s natural curves, giving them an “apple bottom.” Its jeans in particular were huge in hip-hop circles with numerous artists including Eminem,Twista and Flo Rida making reference to the brand in their songs.

Earlier this week, the veteran rapper shared an image of reimagined Apple Bottoms denim with the famed logo on the back pocket.

“Don’t call it a comeback!!!! Wanna see what I’ve been up to,” Nelly wrote in his caption. “Make sure you sign up for behind the scenes access and our First Big Kick Off!!!!”

As Buzzfeed reports, in 2006, “Apple Bottoms” was the sixth most-Googled denim brand, right behind labels like Rock & Republic, True Religion, Diesel, and Guess.

The brand gained further notoriety thanks to Flo Rida’s “Low”, featuring the famous hook: “Shorty had them Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the fur. The whole club was lookin’ at her.”

Earlier this year, Nelly married Ashanti and the pair welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, on July 18, 2024.

The Grammy Award-winning artists first dated in 2003 and broke up a decade later. They spent another decade apart before reuniting in September 2023.

“The first time I met Nelly he asked me for my autograph, but I think he was being sarcastic and I remember writing it down on the program,” the “Foolish” singer said. “That picture has been in so many publications as something else, but it all started out as a joke. For the record, it took him a long time to get my number.”
