Mariah Carey, also known as the “Queen of Christmas,” has been immortalized in a wax figure that fans are calling a “spitting image” of the pop diva. The unveiling took place on November 3 at Madame Tussauds in New York City, with Carey herself there to introduce the seasonal figure to fans.

Carey, dressed in a sparkling black gown, posed alongside her wax double in a series of photos that captured their uncanny resemblance. “Oh my gosh, it’s surreal. Very good!” Carey exclaimed when she first saw the wax figure. The wax version of Carey wears a glamorous red gown inspired by her 2020 Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas special, described by Madame Tussauds as “reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe.”

The wax figure features personal details, including Carey’s signature beauty mark and her golden, wavy hair. To add to the festive feel, the figure holds a holiday ornament and is seated on a bench, perfectly aligned with the museum’s seasonal “Seasons of New York City” exhibit. In a video shared by Carey on social media, her 13-year-old son, Moroccan, marveled, “Wow! It’s like I’m looking at you through a mirror.” Carey herself added, “Look at those shoes!” as she admired the realistic details.

A Perfect Start to the Holiday Season for Mariah Carey

For Carey, the timing couldn’t be more fitting. Known for kicking off the holiday season as soon as Halloween ends, she shared an Instagram post celebrating her new wax figure. “Finally found someone to help me out with the toy delivery this year!” she wrote, delighting fans with a series of photos and expressing her gratitude to Madame Tussauds.

The museum echoed Carey’s excitement on its social media, calling her wax figure the “Queen of Christmas” and celebrating her “wax twin.” Carey’s fans, known as the “Lambily,” flooded her post with praise. “It looks real! They did a great job!” one fan commented, while another joked, “Will the real Mariah please stand up!”

Carey’s latest wax figure marks a high point in her holiday celebrations as she embarks on her “Merry Christmas” tour. This special figure is now part of the seasonal exhibit and welcomes fans to celebrate the holiday magic Carey has built her legacy on.
