In January, Cori Broadus, daughter of rap icon Snoop Dogg, faced an unexpected health crisis: a stroke. Now, at 25, she’s opening up about the terrifying experience in the new trailer for E!’s upcoming series, Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood: Cori & Wayne’s Story. This three-part special follows Broadus as she navigates her health challenges while planning her dream wedding to fiancé Wayne Duece.

Cori Broadus Opens Up About Health Scare

“My health was declining,” Broadus recounts in the teaser, released November 7. Recalling her initial shock, she continues, “Doctor comes in, ‘Cori, you had a stroke.’ I’m hurting, I’m scared. Why is this happening to me?”

For Broadus, who also suffers from lupus, the diagnosis was a harsh reminder of her ongoing battle with health. She adds, “I started breaking down crying when they told me. I’m only 24. What did I do to deserve this?” Broadus initially shared her stroke experience on Instagram earlier this year, prompting messages of support from fans and family alike.

Amid her health struggles, Broadus is also preparing for a lavish wedding. With a guest list of 750, the bride-to-be is determined to go big, saying, “I’m a princess, so the princess gotta do it big.” However, planning such an extravagant event in only four months has put a strain on her relationship with Duece. In the trailer, tensions rise, leading Duece to question the wedding altogether. “Should I even get married?” he asks during a couple’s therapy session.

Snoop Dogg himself, a guiding presence in the show, shares his thoughts on the couple’s grand plans. “Y’all got your life together,” he says, encouraging them to dream big. However, he humorously brings her down to earth, cautioning, “You got too many godd—n dreams!”

With pressures mounting, Broadus faces self-doubt during her wedding dress fitting, admitting, “I hate my body. My dress, it’s not making me feel sexy.” This vulnerability adds a raw layer to the docuseries, which chronicles not only her health and relationship struggles but also her determination to create a beautiful future.
