“PASTOR BRYANT! I take full accountability for my words!” Ray J shared in a black-and-white Instagram video. “I apologize to you and the whole church community! What I did might be unforgivable, but I still want you to know that I’m sorry, and it was not okay.”
The initial outburst came when Ray J warned Bryant against releasing their interview, claiming it had been mishandled. In a since-deleted post, Ray J stated, “Yo, I got nothing but love for Pastor Bryant… but if y’all play that interview, somebody getting snatched off the pulpit.” He alleged the interview was “not cleared” and described his experience as “dirty and illegal.”
Ray J’s recent apology marked a notable change in tone. He expressed remorse for his choice of words and extended an olive branch, requesting an opportunity for reconciliation. “I would love to pray with you,” Ray J said. “Hopefully we can work this out and maybe… just maybe you can help me moving forward. I’m human, and I made a big mistake with this one.”
In response to the initial threat, Pastor Bryant expressed disappointment but maintained a forgiving stance. “It was both surprising and disheartening to wake up to unfounded threats and baseless accusations directed at me,” Bryant shared. He clarified that the interview had been carefully edited to avoid any legal issues and emphasized the podcast’s commitment to transparent dialogue.
“We are a live-to-tape production that ordinarily makes no edits,” he explained. “However, in the spirit of brotherhood, we made specific adjustments. I refuse to be embroiled in a battle that demeans our community.”
