After Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied bail again, it seems like Aubrey O’Day celebrated the judge’s decisions.
It was reported that federal judge Arun Subramanian denied Diddy’s latest request for bail after citing “clear and convincing evidence that he poses a danger to the community.” Judge Subramanian also used the evidence of Combs’ history of violence, which included the 2016 video of him physically assaulting his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura in a hotel lobby.
This is the fourth time that Diddy’s bail was denied. His team has previously offered a $50 million bail package that included house arrest in a Manhattan apartment. The package also offered restrictions on visitors and communications. However, the court believed that this wouldn’t prevent the media mogul from tampering with witnesses and other violations.
Prosecutors have also argued that Diddy has been using other inmates’ phones to avoid monitoring his communication while being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
“Combs’ willingness to skirt Bureau of Prisons rules underscores why the Court cannot reasonably assure compliance with release conditions,” Judge Subramanian said. Diddy is currently waiting for his trial to begin in May 2025.
After the news of Diddy’s bail being denied, O’Day, a former member of the Bad Boy group Danity Kane, seemingly celebrated on social media. On her X account, she wrote “Take that, take that,” a saying that Diddy has famously used in the past.
She followed up by saying that she is still advocating for herself and his other victims until they get justice.
