Wendy Williams seemed to be in good spirits after she made a rare public appearance since being deemed as “permanently incapacitated.”

According to reports, Williams was all smiles while sitting in the backseat of an SUV in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The video shows the media queen getting some food with her nephew, Travis Finnie.

This is the first time that Wendy Williams has been publicly seen since it was announced that she was permanently incapacitated due to early-onset dementia according to her guardian. In August, she was seen shopping in New Jersey.

Her guardian, Sabrina Morrisey, has filed court documents claiming that Williams’ mental health has deteriorated stating that her “early-onset dementia left her cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.”

This recent court filing is part of an ongoing legal battle between Williams’ guardian and the producers of the “Where Is Wendy Williams?” documentary. In February, Morrisey filed a lawsuit to stop the documentary from being released. However, it aired on Lifetime, and it highlighted Wendy Williams’ struggles with her health as well as with alcohol.

Last year, Wendy Williams was diagnosed with aphasia and dementia a year after she was placed under legal guardianship to help with her finances and her health.
