Kim Kardashian asked California’s Governor Jerry Brown to “add Kevin Cooper to [his] legacy of smart, fair, and thoughtful criminal justice reforms,” over the weekend, and now Cooper’s responding.
Cooper’s attorney, Norman Hile, spoke to TMZ, and says his client appreciate the awareness Kim’s brought to his case, but hopes she will continue to push to get the attention of California’s Governor Jerry Brown.
Cooper is a death row inmate that “needs Gov. Brown to order new advanced DNA testing … a request that’s been ignored up to this point,” TMZ reports.
Kim’s very vocal hubby, Kanye, is scheduled to meet with Donald Trump and Jared Kushner today; however, Cooper’s case will not be discussed because “it’s a state matter, not a federal.”
