On the 1st of December in 1955, Parks’ decision to not give up her rightful seat on a public bus, in Montgomery Alabama, set off a chain of events that was the catalyst in the fight for the civil rights, of African Americans.
Parks was a role model for courage in the face of injustice. She’s prepared to sacrifice her security and even her life, to fight for her basic human rights.
