Vanessa Bryant is honoring her daughter Gianna Bryant in a significant way.
May 1 would have been Gigi’s 15th Birthday, but she died tragically in 2020 with her dad Kobe Bryant and seven others in a helicopter crash. Vanessa launched the Mambacita clothing line in honor of Gigi on her heavenly Birthday.
Mambacita was her nickname from her dad’s mantra “mamba mentality/ Black mamba.” The clothing line is through Dannijo, and it almost sold out on the first day. The sweatsuits sold for $332 for adults and $224 for kids.

The clothing line news comes weeks after Kobe’s estate parted ways with Nike. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation; the nonprofit started in the memory of Kobe and Gigi to benefit underserved youth in sports.
Gigi tragically died with her dad and seven others on a helicopter crash back in January 2020. Before the tragedy, they were on their way to a basketball tournament. Kobe and Gigi had a special bond through their love for basketball. Gigi was posthumously honored at the 2020 WNBA draft.
