Let’s keep Carlos Santana in our prayers. The guitar legend passed out on stage during a performance near Detriot on Tuesday evening.
According to reports, Carlos Santana, 74, was playing at the Pine Knob Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan, when he passed out. Shortly after the incident, photos, and videos of the legend circulated on social media as he was being treated by medics.
He was later seen waving to fans as he was being wheeled off the stage. Michael Vrinois, Carlos Santana’s manager, stated that the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer suffered from heat exhaustion and dehydration, which caused him to collapse.
His upcoming show with Earth, Wind, & Fire which was supposed to take place on Wednesday in Pennsylvania has been postponed until further notice.
The legend’s wife Cindy took to social media to thank his fans for their love and support. She wrote, “Hi everyone! Carlos and I thank you so much for your prayers, love, care & concern for him! Please know that he’s resting and doing very well! He was diagnosed with heat exhaustion and dehydration.”
She continued, “It was 100 degrees on stage and 114 under the lights so that coupled with not enough water is what caused the issue, He’ll be as good as new soon! Thank you again and we love you! Cindy and Carlos.”
