Behind August Wilson’s Play ‘The Piano Lesson’

As fans are getting ready for the premiere of “The Piano Lesson” to debut on Broadway, our very own JusNik got a chance to meet and speak with the cast to give an inside sneak peek of what fans can expect.

The play was written in 1987 by the late playwright, August Wilson. It is centered around a family who is stuck with the decision of getting rid of a piano that has been in the family for years. It comes down to sacrifice and compromise between the main characters, Bernice and Boy Willie played by Danielle Brooks and John David Washington.

Watch the video now and remember that “The Piano Lesson” will be on Broadway starting September 19th.
