50 Cent is getting personal about his decision to practice celibacy.

While making an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” he spoke about his new lifestyle and said, “Listen, when you calm down, you can focus,” he added, “I’ve been good to me.” He was then asked why he had not decided to begin dating again.

“It’s when things start getting complicated, things start getting confusing because people are coming for different reasons,” he replied. “If you go on a date and you have no interest in anything… I can see you now. Say. ‘Goddamn girl you fine but you ain’t got nothing going on.”

The Power creator announced that he would be going on a celibacy journey earlier this year. He posted his plan on Instagram and said, “My new idea is so big, I don’t have time to be distracted I’m practicing abstinence, I have been meditation and focusing on my goals,” he wrote. “I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level.”
