Angel Reese is stepping into the podcast world.
The WNBA player has launched a new podcast called Unapologetically Angel. In a recent interview, she explained what her new weekly podcast would be about. “It’s another way for me to connect with my fans and reach new audiences I wouldn’t necessarily have before.”
She continued, “I can’t wait to share a different side with listeners and have them come on this ride with me.” Her new show will be on Shaquille O’Neal’s “The Big Podcast Network.” Reese added, “I mainly want this podcast to be a place for authentic and unfiltered conversations. Whether I’m sharing insights on basketball, the current trends in fashion, or the latest news in entertainment.”
Angel Reese will be joined by her co-host, Maya Reese, with the potential of landing big guests on her show. “I really want to have guests across all the different industries on the show- sports, music, entertainment, business, creators, and more,” Angel said. “But you know I’m definitely going to have to get my girls Meg Thee Stallion, Latto, and Cardi B on here.”
Although she has added a podcast host to her resume, Reese is staying focused on her game. She recently became the first player in the WNBA to gain 20 rebounds in three back-to-back games. She is also up for Rookie of the Year along with Caitlin Clark.
Reese said that is where her focus is. “I’m not focused on my individual accolades. I’m focused on our team and what we need to do collectively to win.” Her team, the Chicago Sky is in the 8th spot in the league and may be able to advance to the playoffs this year.
Unapologetically Angel is set to premiere on September 5th and will be on YouTube and all Podcast platforms.
