Angie Stone’s son, Michael Archer Jr., also known as Swayvo Twain, expressed his love for his mother after her passing in early March.

Taking to Instagram, Archer gave an emotional message in honor of his mother.

“Hey mama, I ain’t want nothing, just wanted to say I love you ……. I know you up there enjoying your god body 😂. I hope you got to see grandma and granddaddy …….i want you know how proud I am at the person you are…. I want you to know how much you inspired me every single day …… you never failed me ever ever….you never were a burden to me EVER … if I had to do it all again I wouldn’t change nothing,” he read.

Born to Stone and his father, R&B legend D’ Angelo, Archer shared his gratitude for all the lessons his mother taught him.

“im so grateful for the lessons that I learned from you, I hope to one day be as good to my kids as you were to me…..I just wanted to you to know that I got it from here , imma be okay… and imma LONG LIVE YOU 4Ever🕊️ love you, mama,” his post went on.

Held at the Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral in Austell, Georgia, Stone’s memorial service was attended by Tyler Perry, Kirk Franklin, Anthony Hamilton, Keke Wyatt, Tamela Mann, and Musiq Soulchild,

In his tribute to Stone, Perry blasted the music industry for not properly compensating artists.

“All of those years, all of those songs, all of that money that was owed to her — where is it?” Perry asked. “It’s wrong, this is wrong, and I’m tired of seeing us struggle and go through things and work hard and not reap the benefits of what we were supposed to reap.”

Along with Archer, Stone also has a daughter, 41-year-old Diamond Stone, who the late singer shared with Rodney Stone, her ex-husband, formerly Lil’ Rodney C! from the Funky Four Plus One.
