GRAMMY-award winning star, Anthony Hamilton has an uplifting message for black women.

On Friday, Oct 4, Hamilton released a new single, ‘QUEEN’ celebrating the immense impact that Black women have on his life. Written and performed by Hamilton and produced by Jermaine Dupri, this song is an homage to the queens who have shaped history, nurtured generations, and continue to lead with grace and power.

“I’m surrounded by Queens. I was raised by Queens. Some who never knew their value or the influence they had on me,” Hamilton wrote in a promotional post. “It’s not only my duty as a Black King, but my right to celebrate, support and respect them. I was birthed by a Queen.”

In celebration of the release, Hamilton has also announced the “QUEEN” Remix Contest and is calling on all remixers, producers, and DJ’s worldwide to submit their take on the song “QUEEN” for a chance to have their remix released officially. Additionally, the single will be supported by various “QUEEN” campaigns to include prizes and giveaways throughout the country.

“QUEEN” is Hamilton’s first single in three years. His last project, “You Made A Fool Of Me,” was also produced by Dupri. Both singles acts a sneak peek to the Dupri/Hamilton forthcoming joint album. In a 2020 interview with YouKnowIGotSoul.com, Dupri stated:

“Me and Anthony Hamilton are making an album. It’s going to be a Jermaine Dupri and Anthony Hamilton record. I’m saying that because basically that’s what I want to make sure people start paying attention to. The difference between people singing and people doing [digitalized vocals]. It’s important that that’s done, and Anthony is a singing singer! The records that we make are going to be great songs but at the same time he will be singing. If you love that type of singing, and you love singers, then you’ll start understanding the difference.”

Hamilton also adds author and publisher to his list of accomplishments with the unveiling of his first self-published book, Cornbread, Fish ‘n Collard Greens, where he shares the inspiration for some of the iconic songs in his illustrious career and his love of southern food. Hamilton recently starred as Kyle Kirby in the feature film Carl Weber’s Influence, now streaming on BET+.
