Beyoncé does not play when it comes to her sister, Solange, and one person who learned that the hard way was Fabolous.

The rapper recalled a time when Queen Bee checked him over a lyric from the 2010 track, “For The Money.” In his verse, he compared Beyoncé to Solange where he said, “Because if you could have Beyoncé, would you take Solange?” and she was not happy about it.

In an interview, he talked about the incident. “I knew people were paying attention. It was like a mixtape freestyle. When she said, I was like ‘Oh, I get it,’ but in my head, I’m like, ‘Who played Beyoncé this s***?’”

The rapper also said that after he spoke with the “Love On Top,” singer, it made him rethink some of his other punchlines that he has said. He also revealed that he had apologized to Solange in person after running into her at a bar.

“I’m like, ‘Hey, what’s up?’ And I was like, ‘Yo, I just want you to know I didn’t mean it in any malice, but I do take responsibility for saying that and I apologize.”
