The internet is abuzz after Candace Owens fired back at Tina Knowles, who recently debunked rumors involving Beyoncé. The claims suggested Beyoncé received $10 million for speaking at a rally in Houston for Vice President Kamala Harris.
In an Instagram post, Tina Knowles labeled the rumors as “false information,” clarifying Beyoncé didn’t earn any money for her participation. “This has been flagged on Instagram as fake news and taken down,” Knowles wrote. “Beyoncé did not receive a penny for speaking at Vice President Kamala Harris’s rally in Houston.”
Candace Owens Doubles Down
Owens was quick to respond, dismissing Knowles’ statement as damage control. “Foremost, Beyoncé needs to stop posting from her burner account,” Owens commented on a blog’s post. She emphasized her original post only referenced reports and included the word “allegedly.” Owens claimed journalists repeatedly sought confirmation from Beyoncé’s team and Harris’s campaign but received no response.
The conservative commentator then accused Beyoncé of leveraging her influence to have the post removed from Instagram. “The fact that Beyoncé opted to use her hyper-privileged connections at Instagram to have a post removed makes her a blubbering baby,” Owens stated. She added, “People share untrue reports on me all the time—do I call Mark Zuckerberg?”
Owens further criticized Beyoncé for allegedly relying on her mother to address the situation. “Sending your literal mama to defend you as opposed to just responding to journalists is childish,” Owens said, comparing Beyoncé’s response to Cardi B’s willingness to engage directly.
The controversy didn’t end there. Owens also made broader claims about Beyoncé’s cultural relevance, saying, “Ten years ago, Beyoncé and JAY-Z telling us who to vote for would’ve mattered. Now, it’s annoying.”
She concluded with a sharp warning. “I’d caution you to see which way the wind is blowing, girlfriend. It’s not in your favor.”
