Chaka Khan Reveals She’s Making Music With Sia

Legendary singer Chaka Khan has unveiled an exciting musical partnership with acclaimed artist Sia. In a recent interview, Khan shared, “Sia and I are working on an amazing project, and I hope the first single will come out some time this summer.” She expressed enthusiasm about their collaboration, noting, “Sia is amazing—she’s my goddaughter!”

Creative Challenges and Mutual Admiration

Despite their shared excitement, the duo has encountered challenges in concluding their project. Khan explained, “We can’t finish, because we’ve got so much to give. It’s beautiful.” Their creative synergy has led to an abundance of ideas, making it difficult to finalize the work.

Their professional relationship has deepened into a close friendship. Khan remarked, “Sia and I have become great musical partners, writing stuff together.” She further revealed plans for future collaborations, stating, “We have a song coming out in the first quarter of next year.”

This isn’t the first time Khan and Sia have joined forces. Beyond her work with Sia, Khan has hinted at other upcoming projects. She mentioned plans to release a collaborative album with the late Prince and bassist Larry Graham, noting that previous delays due to red tape have been resolved.

Fans can also look forward to “The Queens Tour,” featuring Khan alongside Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, and Stephanie Mills. The tour is set to commence in May, with performances across major North American cities.
