Chilli opens up about TLC’s upcoming performance on New Year’s Eve.

The legendary group is set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their album, “CrazySexyCool” by performing at “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025.” In a recent interview, the singer said that the moment will be “bittersweet,” because they haven’t been in Times Square together since the passing of Lisa “Lefteye” Lopez in 2022.

“The last time we were in Times Square, is kind of bittersweet in a sense,” she said. “We had lost Lisa, and it was amazing to be in that moment, to celebrate her, but it was horrible because she was not. So that was the last time we were actually in Times Square.”

In the interview, she revealed that rehearsals are her favorite part of a performance. “It’s funny because our dancers’ agents will call our manager and say, ‘Chilli is working them too hard.’ I’m like, ‘I’m singing, I’m dancing and I’m older than you, so you should be able to keep up,’ she said. “I don’t understand when anybody’s getting tired when I’m not. I’m pulling 150 percent in and all these years later, we still love it. When you still love it like that, the fans know on stage we’re having so much fun.”

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025 will have performances by Tinashe, T-Pain, and DJ Cassidy featuring Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Ja Rule, and Fat Joe. The show will air on ABC at 8 pm and will stream on Hulu the next day.
