Colman Domingo may have his eye on a new role where he may work with Steven Spielberg.

There is very few details about the new film, however, reports say that project has Emily Blunt, Eve Hewson, and, Colin Firth as part of the cast. The film is also based on an original story by the award-winning director. David Koepp will collaborate with Spielberg as the screenwriter and his company Amblin and Universal will produce it. The film is slated to premiere in theaters on May 15, 2026.

Reports also say that the unknown film is “in the summer tentpole zone Spielberg practically created decades ago with such films as Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark.” Koepp wrote other classics such as War of the Worlds, Jurassic Park, and Spider-Man. He also worked on the cult classic Death Becomes Her starring Bruce Willis, Goldie Hawn, and Meryl Streep.

Colman Domingo has not worked with Spielberg in the past, however he did star in the musical adaptation of The Color Purple, which was produced by Spielberg. What are your thoughts about Domingo and Spielberg working together in the near future?
