On the recent episode of Fox’s Our Kind Of People, viewers got a long-overdue reunion between Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams.
Both Morgan and Williams played the beloved Angie and Jesse on the daytime soap opera All My Children in the 1980s. Morgan, who plays Aunt Piggy on the show, spoke about her role and the reunion that everyone has been ready to see.
In a recent interview with Shadow and Act, Morgan said, “I’ve always wanted to play a dramatic character, who also brought humor and that’s exactly what Piggy does. I think that aunts have always held such a strong figure in the family, down to their nieces and nephews, you’re able to come to them to help you through so many situations.”
She went on to discuss how excited she was about working with Williams again. “I was just beyond thrilled and excited to be united with Darnell again. Our bond and friendship have remained as close as ever even though we’re no longer working together and don’t get to see each other as often.”
She added, “He’s family to me, I mean he actually gave me away when I got married.”
