Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, renowned for producing the Grammy-nominated “The Love Album: Off The Grid,” has made startling claims against Sean “Diddy” Combs. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Lil Rod revealed he is hiding to escape threats after filing a $30 million lawsuit. “He’s a monster,” Lil Rod stated. “He’ll do whatever is necessary to get exactly what he wants. He doesn’t take no for an answer.”
Lil Rod detailed disturbing interactions with Diddy, including a chilling threat. “He told me himself, ‘I’ll smack my mama.’ Anybody who can say that even jokingly is a monster. He’s nothing to be played with,” he added. These allegations have thrust Lil Rod into a state of fear and uncertainty.
Lil Rod’s Life Under Constant Threat After Accusing Diddy
Since accusing Diddy of sexual harassment and assault in February, Lil Rod has kept his location secret. “There have been too many people trying to figure out where I’m at. I moved locations, moved states. Everything is private. My mom doesn’t even know where I live. It’s been like that pretty much all year,” he explained. The producer confessed to experiencing severe paranoia. “Diddy has a lot of people on his payroll in a lot of different positions. He’s very connected. It’s made me nervous traveling. Going to hotels, I ask if there’s any way to remove my name.”
The lawsuit has significantly impacted Lil Rod’s career. “Because of this lawsuit, most people don’t want to come near working with me for whatever reasons, whether they’ve been in partnership with Puff or they want to just sit back and see what happens. He’s a gatekeeper in the music industry,” he revealed. Financial struggles have also plagued him. “I’m broke. I have no source of income right now. Every month I’m trying to figure out how the bills are going to get paid.”
Getting Support
Despite the challenges, Lil Rod expressed gratitude for support from friends like T-Pain. “T-Pain is a real friend. His team worked to make sure it was safe for me to work the Hollywood Bowl. That felt good. But there should be more artists like T-Pain having my back,” he said.
Diddy has vehemently denied all allegations. His lawyer, Shawn Holley, called Lil Rod “nothing more than a liar” seeking an undeserved payday. “We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies,” Holley stated. Diddy’s legal team recently filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, asserting the allegations are “pure fiction.”
As the legal battle continues, Lil Rod remains cautious and determined to seek justice. “I have been having suicidal thoughts, worried I may get killed if I am seen in public,” he shared.
