Sean “Diddy” Combs now faces a potential life sentence after prosecutors amended their indictment against him. The updated federal case, filed on January 30, expands on previous charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. It introduces claims from two additional women who allege they were forced into commercial sex acts and that Combs once dangled a victim over a hotel balcony.

New Allegations Expand Federal Case Against Diddy

According to the indictment, Combs allegedly paid hotel staff $100,000 to erase surveillance footage of him assaulting ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016. The document also accuses him of possessing illegal substances, including cocaine, ketamine, meth, and psychedelic mushrooms. Additionally, prosecutors claim Combs was involved in an unspecified kidnapping.

“When Combs’ authority or reputation was threatened by the possibility of negative publicity or legal or law enforcement action against him, [Combs] pressured witnesses and victims, including through attempted bribery, to stay silent,” the indictment states. It further alleges that he provided victims and witnesses with a false narrative to conceal his crimes.

Defense Pushes Back Against Accusations

Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, strongly denied the new allegations, arguing that the prosecution’s case remains flawed. “The government has added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr. Combs’ former girlfriends were not girlfriends at all but were prostitutes,” Agnifilo stated.

The amended indictment does not introduce new charges but extends the timeframe of the alleged conspiracy. Prosecutors now claim the criminal enterprise began in 2004 instead of 2008. The revision aims to solidify the case by detailing additional victims and outlining a broader pattern of coercion and abuse.

A representative for Combs has not publicly commented on the latest developments. His trial is set for May 5, 2025. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
