Diddy’s legal team claims that his jail cell was allegedly raided by the feds and that they took “privileged materials.”
According to legal documents, Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s lawyer, says that they found out about the raid on Friday Night and that the prosecutors have attorney-client privileged material in their possession.
Agnifilo says that some of the material included handwritten notes to his legal team and defense strategies for his upcoming trial in May. He added that the prosecutors admitted to having Diddy’s letter and claimed that their search and seizure violated the disgraced media mogul’s Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment rights.
Diddy’s legal team has requested an immediate hearing to figure things out. He wants to find out who gave the feds the authority to search Diddy’s cell and also wants to know which materials they were authorized to take to turn over to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Agniflio called the search and seizure, “outrageous government conduct amounting to a substantive due process violation.”
