Fat Joe breaks his silence on the martial issues between Remy Ma and Papoose.

The rapper, who is extremely close to both, said this situation is difficult for him while on the My Expert Opinion podcast. “It’s a hard situation because of Papoose she made me love him,” Fat Joe said. “I really love him. That’s my goddaughter’s father… I’m old-school morals and s**t. With me, it’s like, ‘Damn, I’m the godfather. If these people pass away, I raise the baby.”

He continued, “What I can’t do is stop it. They won’t listen to me.” As the conversation continued, one of the co-hosts also pointed out that the “Lean Back” rapper has a history of helping mediate rap beef. “It’s a different type of thing when you got a husband… I can’t get in the middle of that- that’s y’all.”

Last week, we reported that Remy Ma and her estranged husband, Papoose, were engaged in a social media war where they accused each other of infidelity. Remy claimed that Papoose was having an affair with championship boxer, Claressa Shields.

She went on Instagram and posted that she allegedly caught the rapper on the phone with Shields after falling asleep on the phone with her. She also shared screenshots of text messages between him and Shields.

Papoose would respond to Remy’s claims and say, “Sad to say that Remy Ma is a narcissist. She chose to cheat repeatedly. Now that I finally moved on, she’s playing the victim.” He continued, “I have requested a divorce numerous times. She rather clout chase on social media than handle this like civilized adults. I did not wanna do the social media foolishness. For the sake of my six-year-old baby. She has to go to school. As you can see I remained quiet through this all.

Remy Ma and Papoose got married in 2016 and welcomed their first and only child together in 2018.
