The family of the late Issac Hayes wants Donald Trump to stop using his music for his campaign rallies.

According to reports, Trump used the song “Hold On I’m Coming” that he wrote for the R&B Duo Sam & Dave at his rally on August 3 without permission. Isaac Hayes III wrote on his X account that his father’s estate will be taking legal action to have Trump stop using the song.

“Once again, the estate and family of @isaachayes DID NOT approve the use of ‘Hold on I’m coming,” Hayes III wrote. “Donald Trump represents the worst in honesty, integrity, and class and want no association with his campaign of hate and racism.”

This isn’t the first time that Hayes III or his estate have spoken out about this issue. In 2022, the estate sent a message from Issac Hayes’ X account expressing their disapproval of using his music during the NRA convention in Texas after the Uvalde school shooting.

“The estate and family of Isaac Hayes DID NOT approve and would NEVER approve the use of ‘Hold on I’m coming’ by Sam and Dave by Donald Trump at this weekend’s @NRA convention,” the tweet said.
