Actress Jodie Turner-Smith has put her soon-to-be ex-husband, Joshua Jackson after he failed to pay child and spousal support.

According to reports, Turner-Smith filed a request to receive child and spousal support with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday. In her filing, she has requested $8,543 per month in child support and $28,641 per month in spousal support as well as other retroactive payments. She has also requested $250,000 to cover attorney fees and accounting costs.

In October 2023, when Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson, she originally waived spousal support but then changed her mind after he refused to “negotiate reasonable payments in their proceedings.” She also accused him of prolonging the process which is making it harder to support herself and their daughter, Juno.

“All I have asked for since the inception of this matter is to be allowed to maintain the strong relationship between Juno and me while managing a full-time work schedule to support our daughter and myself,” she said in her filing.

Turner-Smith added, “Josh has run up my attorney’s fees and forensic accounting costs and has made this dissolution far more difficult than necessary.”

As the filing continued, the actress claimed that the veteran actor had given their family a “high standard of living” although she doesn’t receive as many job offers as he does. He currently stars in ABC’s Doctor Odyessy.

“Josh promised to always support me and ensured me that I would not have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever separated because he said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother.” She continued, “Now, he is reneging on that promise and using litigation tactics and delay to pressure me into agreeing to a settlement that is neither equitable nor has any legal foundation.”

A hearing for Jodie Turner-Smith’s request is set for March 20.
