Judge Greg Mathis has finally won his wife, Linda, back months after her divorce filling over the summer.
Linda stood joyfully by Greg’s side when the couple interviewed with TMZ With playful body language and a tender kiss to Linda’s forehead, it is clear reconciliation is in full swing.
“That’s not for television, we kiss all the time,” Greg assured the interviewer.
Reflecting on the hardship they had to overcome, Greg imparted wisdom about how some trials in life are actually divine tests. “We’re doing well. What I think happens is sometimes in life God has to break you down to lift you up and out you on another mission.”
“You know as a street kid I went to jail, came out, I was on a mission to help street youth. And I have for 25 years. Now, I’m on a mission to help black love.”
The interviewer then ask Linda if it was safe to say that Greg was officially out of the dog house. She laughed in response and Greg added “That’s for her to say, but I think so. I’m not going to be arrogant enough and cocky enough to speak for her,”
In the video interview, Greg elaborated on his commitment to rebuilding their relationship, portraying it as a quest not just for his own happiness, but as a message of hope for others in similar situations.
Linda, 61, filed for divorce from the reality court show judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, Aug. 22, citing irreconcilable differences after 39 years of marriage together.
Linda applied for spousal support in the documents but it is unclear if the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place, as the pair got married after college and prior to Mathis’ Daytime Emmy Award-winning reality court show.
