Justin Timberlake has been arrested in New York for driving while intoxicated (DWI).
According to reports, the singer was driving in the Hamptons when he was arrested in the Sag Harbor area on Monday. Timberlake remained in custody until Tuesday morning. A source close to Timberlake said that the police pulled him over after leaving a restaurant in the area.
The “Losing My Way” singer is set to appear in court on Tuesday. Timberlake is currently on his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour,” and is set to have two shows this weekend in Chicago and New York. This tour came after the release of his sixth studio album Everything I Thought It Was.
In an interview, Timberlake spoke on the process of making this album and how this album spanned over a few years which led to him having over 100 songs to choose from. “So narrowing them down to 18 was a thing,” he said.
Back in January, JT released his single “Selfish”, his first single release in six years. The song debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100.
