Actress and entertainer Keke Palmer brought her signature humor to Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, creating a moment that had everyone in stitches. During the interview, Palmer playfully referenced Sharpe’s viral Instagram Live incident involving a woman named “Michelle.”

“That’s What Michelle Said”- Keke Palmer

At one point in the interview, Sharpe asked Palmer about her experiences with age gaps in her on-screen romances. Palmer mentioned a project where she kissed a 27-year-old actor while she was 17. Sharpe quipped, “You like ’em older, huh?” Without missing a beat, Palmer fired back, “That’s what Michelle said!”

Sharpe was left stunned, shouting, “Come on, Keke! You been waiting for that! Too soon!” Palmer, visibly delighted with her joke, added, “They don’t call you ‘Hunky Uncy’ for nothing!” Her quick wit sent Sharpe and the production crew into fits of laughter, with Sharpe taking a moment to regain his composure.

The exchange poked fun at Sharpe’s September Instagram Live moment, where audio of a private encounter with a woman, later identified as Michelle, went viral. Although the video showed no visuals, the audio alone set social media ablaze.

Sharpe’s Response to the Incident

Initially, Sharpe’s Instagram account posted a statement claiming his account had been hacked. However, Sharpe later clarified that the post wasn’t his, admitting the moment was indeed real. “Obviously, I am embarrassed,” Sharpe said in a follow-up statement. “For someone who’s extremely private, to have one of your most intimate details out there — it’s embarrassing.”

Despite the initial discomfort, Sharpe leaned into the viral moment, even releasing merchandise inspired by the incident. “I told y’all to leave that lady alone, but y’all kept harassing Unc,” Sharpe joked online.

Palmer’s lighthearted jab reminded fans of her ability to turn any moment into comedic gold. As always, she left her audience laughing, and Sharpe proved he can take a joke as well as he delivers one.
