The Los Angeles home of Keyshia Cole has been destroyed in the ongoing wildfires ravaging Southern California. The news was revealed by her hairstylist, Jonathan Wright, who shared heartbreaking images of the rubble on Instagram. Wright expressed his shock and sorrow, writing, “@keyshiacole Prayers to Freen and her kids and family. I ask everyone to send them a prayer to uplift her spirits.”
Tragic Loss for R&B Singer Keyshia Cole and Family
Wright detailed the devastating scene, showing the charred remains of Cole’s home, reduced to ashes and rubble. He described the surreal experience, saying, “Literally a week ago we were in Miami. To come home to this is crazy, like mind-blowing.”
While Cole has not publicly commented on the loss, Wright emphasized that the singer initially intended to keep the tragedy private. “Freen wasn’t gonna say anything, but I feel like she should. This is crazy how this happened to everyone,” he added.
Cole is one of many celebrities affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, which have destroyed over 12,000 structures since last week. Tina Knowles, Jhené Aiko, and Mandy Moore are among others who have lost their homes. Jhené Aiko shared her own story on social media, revealing the emotional toll the disaster has taken. “The fact that some of you think I have Paris Hilton money is wild. I don’t got it like that, but I do have a big loving family worth more than anything,” she wrote.
The fires, now labeled the most costly natural disaster in U.S. history, have claimed at least 24 lives and displaced over 92,000 people. Damage estimates have climbed into the billions, leaving many without homes or businesses.
The National Weather Service continues to warn residents of dangerous conditions as firefighters battle to contain the blazes. In the wake of the destruction, communities and celebrities alike are rallying to support those in need.
