Kirk Franklin recently shared how he was featured on Glorilla’s latest album Glorious.

During an appearance on Rocsi Diaz and Deion Sanders’ show We Got Time Today, Franklin recalled  how the Memphis rapper got him to jump on “RAIN DOWN ON ME.”

The track also features Maverick City Music, Kierra Sheard, and Chandler Moore.

Diaz spoke about how Franklin has always connected with younger artists in his career.

“This is what I’m talking about Kirk,” affirms Diaz. “You just take it to the next level and embrace the younger generation and they love you.

Franklin then detailed where he met GloRillia and asked her to work on his next project.

“We were at the Grammys two years ago and we ran into each other on the red carpet. She was really excited to meet me and I was shocked that she was excited to meet me,”

“I was like ‘So what you tryna do you trynna collab?’ Franklin asked. GloRilla’s agreed to link with the Gospel music superstar.

“They reached out a few months later after that. She had a record she thought I would be cool on and yeah,” he said. “We shot a video for the song last month. It’ll be coming out real soon.”

Premiering on Tubi last month, We Got Time Today “discusses the latest in news, culture, entertainment, and sports as well as conducting interviews with celebrity guests.

“Everybody that’s on ain’t trying to educate and inform and enhance,” explained Sanders in an interview with Vibe. “They just want to be seen. We’re comfortable at our age and stage of life, [and with] who we are, what we are, how we got there, and where we going. Our goal is to uplift you.”

“We’re two alpha people, and so the conversation gets fun,” Diaz added. “Our opinions don’t always match. But this is the best literally of both worlds of entertainment and sports and whatever you could think of.”
