Lori Harvey, model, entrepreneur, and social media influencer, has been announced as the cover star for Playboy’s first print issue since 2020. The highly anticipated magazine will hit newsstands on February 10, marking Playboy’s return to print after a hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Playboy Returns to Print With Lori Harvey
Both Harvey and Playboy shared the exciting news on Instagram, revealing behind-the-scenes footage from her cover shoot. In the teaser, Harvey dazzles in a backless dress and a low-cut, sequin bodysuit paired with feathered boots. A car featuring a “Playboy” license plate is also prominently displayed.
CEO Ben Kohn of PLBY Group expressed the importance of Playboy’s return. “Playboy is the quintessential iconic brand,” he said in a statement. “Our mission is to return Playboy to prominence… while preserving the brand’s rich heritage, including high-quality journalism, compelling storytelling, and provocative content that has defined Playboy for decades.”
The launch issue, available for pre-order, will also be celebrated during Super Bowl Weekend in New Orleans. Alongside Harvey’s exclusive interview and photos, readers can look forward to features on comedian Nikki Glaser and the Playmate of the Year.
Mike Guy, Playboy’s editor, shared his enthusiasm for the magazine’s return to print. “For nearly seven decades, Playboy wasn’t just a magazine — it was a movement,” he said. “This issue celebrates our rich history while embracing a bold new vision for the future.”
The Spring 2020 issue marked the last time Playboy appeared in print, a decision prompted by declining circulation and pandemic-related challenges. However, the brand announced in 2024 that it would revive its print edition annually, maintaining its signature blend of photography, interviews, and centerfold features.
Lori Harvey’s cover comes after her 2024 Sports Illustrated debut, where she showcased pieces from her Yevrah Swimwear Collection. Harvey described the Playboy collaboration as a reflection of her career as “a modern icon.”
