Mandisa’s death has shocked the gospel world. However, her death is currently being investigated by the Tennessee Police Department.
The Franklin Police Department shared an update on their X account and said, “The Franklin Police Department is continuing to investigate the death of a woman found inside a Beamon Dr. residence last Thursday evening.”
It continued, “Over the weekend, a medical examiner identified the deceased individual as Mandisa Hundley, 47. At this time, there is no indication the death was the result of suspicious or criminal activity.”
We reported that Mandisa was found dead in her Nashville home on April 18th at the age of 47. The singer is best known for her run on season 5 of American Idol. Mandisa’s PR team confirmed her death in a statement that they released, “We can confirm that yesterday Mandisa was found in her home deceased. At this time we do not know the cause of death or any further details. We ask for your prayers for her family and close-knit circle of friends during this incredibly difficult time.”
