Marlon Wayans is seeking joint custody of his 1-year-old daughter, Axl, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend Brittany Moreland.
Reports have revealed that back in March, Moreland filed a lawsuit for full legal and physical custody of her daughter and asked that the actor only have visitation rights. In an interview, Wayans talked about the filings and said, “All love, all God. The baby isn’t a secret. The mama has been posted. But I chose to keep the baby’s private life private.”
He continued, “Ain’t nobody’s business. Social media is toxic and dangerous, and I’d like to keep her peace.” Wayans went on to say, “Do you pay all that money per month and be called a ‘visitor?’ Do the math. This is delusional. I will let the lawyers and God do what they do. I’ll be creating art from a broken heart. I got nothing but love. Even when it’s bad, it’s good… It’s GOD.”
Wayans has filed for joint legal and physical custody along with joint payment of legal fees according to the court documents. Baby Axl was born on December 12, 2022, and Wayans and Moreland signed a voluntary declaration of parentage on December 13.
This news comes after we reported that Marlon Wayans’ Los Angeles home was burglarized while his older brother, Keenen Ivory Wayans was sleeping. He would blast the robbers on social media and say, “Didn’t really get much. ‘Cause I don’t own s***. The most valuable thing in my house is my house. So unless you’re gonna put that s*** on a truck and drag it away, then yeah man, you did well.”
