Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion recently admitted that she wasn’t entirely truthful in her high-profile 2022 interview with Gayle King. In her newly released documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, she confesses that her denial of an intimate relationship with fellow artist Tory Lanez was untrue.

Megan The Stallion Admits She Had Relations with Tory Lanez

“Yes, b**ch, I lied to Gayle King, b**ch,” Megan candidly says in the documentary. “First of all, I didn’t know that b**ch was gon’ even ask me about that sh*t. We supposed to be talking about this shooting—why is you asking me about f**king Tory?”

Megan initially sat down with King to discuss the 2020 incident where Lanez allegedly shot her during an argument in Los Angeles. At the time, she firmly denied any sexual relationship, responding with, “Um, I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory.” This response, however, was met with skepticism, with some public figures, including 50 Cent, expressing doubt.

In the documentary, Megan addresses the context behind her denial, explaining she felt blindsided by the question, expecting the interview to focus solely on the shooting. “That’s not what this is about,” she says, going on to clarify, “Even if it was, I fked this nia like once, maybe twice, on a drunk night.”

Megan also testified about her brief involvement with Lanez during his 2022 trial, where she admitted feeling “embarrassed” to have been associated with him in that way. Reflecting on her choices, she told the court, “I’m embarrassed because I’m a grown woman hanging with people I have no business hanging out with.”

In December 2022, Lanez was convicted on three charges related to the shooting incident. These included assault with a semi-automatic firearm, possession of an unregistered firearm, and gross negligence in discharging the weapon. He received a ten-year prison sentence in August 2023.

Megan’s new documentary offers an introspective look at her journey, trials, and resilience in an industry that has scrutinized her at every turn. Her latest album, Megan: Act II, dropped just days before the documentary’s release, marking a new chapter in her evolving career.
