Mia Thornton and her boyfriend, Incognito, have broken up.
The Real Housewives of Potomac star made the shocking announcement on the latest episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Thornton revealed that she and Incognito have decided to separate and said that the reality show played a part in their decision.
“Inc has worked really, really, hard for his reputation and his career; he’s 20 years in as a syndicated radio personality and he feels as though his platform doesn’t align with his brand,” Mia said.
She continued, “I respect that, and he will forever be my best friend. Are we exclusive, and are we dating? No. It’s fine.” Quad Webb from Married To Medicine was co-hosting the show and asked Mia about the timing for her relationship to Incognito because she was still married to her husband, Gordon Thornton.
“To his defense, I need to get a divorce first. I need to get a divorce first,” she said. “So we’re going to work on that. We’re going to focus on [Gordon] and the kids.” Mia is seemingly hopeful that she and Inc will remain in each other lives.
“He not going anywhere. What’s meant to be is forever,” she said. Thornton and Incognito began dating and became a topic of discussion which caused backlash for the E! Network. The reality star said that she and Inc were high school sweethearts and later found their way back to each other after she separated from Gordon.
However, there was some overlap which caused Mia to question who was the father of her son, Jeremiah. The test revealed that Gordon is the father although, Mia feels otherwise. “I honestly do not trust Gordon’s test,” she said. “That’s why I’ve been asking Gordon for a formal test. This could have all been squashed a long time ago if everybody would just be mature adults.”
