Fans will not get a third match between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield.

After Tyson’s loss to Jake Paul on Saturday, Holyfield gauged his former opponent’s interest in a rematch on his Instagram on Monday. He posted a photo of himself and Tyson with “The Trilogy” written on top of it. His caption read, “The fans want it #unfinishedbusiness.”

During their first fight in 1996, Holyfield defeated Tyson in the 11th round via TKO. The following year, they would box again which resulted in the infamous ear-biting incident that led to Tyson being disqualified in the third round.

However, after the incident, the two legends became friends. “Iron” Mike Tyson shared a photo on his X account of him and Evander Holyfield with the caption that read, “We’ve come a long way since the bite fight.”

In 2009, while on the “Oprah Winfrey Show” Tyson delivered a face-to-face apology his friend for his actions. Tyson’s response to the proposed match was, “I love you brother, but the trilogy is our friendship.”
