Congratulations are in order for Power star, Naturi Naughton-Lewis and her husband, Xavier ‘Two’ Lewis. The two are expecting a baby!
In an interview with PEOPLE Magazine, Naturi explained how excited she was to bring another life into the world. “I am looking forward to seeing this baby’s cute little face and how it will be the perfect blend between my husband and me,” she explained. “My daughter is especially happy to be getting a younger sibling, so I’m excited to share this joy as a family.”
Although this is the couple’s first child, Naturi is already a mother to her 5 1/2-year-old daughter, Zuri. “My daughter is especially happy to be getting a younger sibling, so I’m excited to share this joy as a family,” she continued.
The actress even explained that she got the news while she was filming. “When I found out, I was shooting a movie and still on a high from my wedding, so it felt like the perfect way to start a new chapter with my hubby!”
The couple got married last spring with over 200 family and friends in attendance. They met through Naughton’s co-star Omari Hardwick in 2019, who was also in attendance. At the start of their relationship, Naughton kept the details private. After getting engaged in December 2020, she decided to reveal his identity in their first joint interview.
Now, they are ready to start their next journey together, being parents. Naughton has shared that their preparation isn’t easy. They have been “reading a lot,” and hiring a doula.
“We look forward to bonding in a new way and actually applying our wedding vows on this journey to parenthood! This is Two’s first baby, so he’s extra excited to create another human,” Naturi shares. “Even through the many challenges that can occur with pregnancy, we want to push ourselves to be the best partners and the best parents we can be!”
