Nelly just secured a win!
It has been reported that the rapper will not be facing charges after he was arrested last August in a St. Louis casino. Chris King, spokesperson for the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, said in a statement, “We don’t believe the facts in this case warrant the issuing of charges.”
On August 7, we reported that Nelly was arrested on an outstanding warrant for no proof of insurance. State police also claimed that the “Hot in Herre,” rapper was in possession of four ecstasy pills.
Maryland Heights police department said the arrest happened because Nelly failed to appear for an old traffic charge after he was transported to the department by state police. Nelly’s lawyer, Scott Rosenblum, said his client was not informed about the warrant.
He also said the rapper was “targeted by an overzealous, out-of-line officer who checked for warrants after Nelly won money at the casino.”
