NeNe Leakes opens up about her life since losing her husband, Gregg Leakes three years ago.
The reality TV star spoke about her “new life” on Instagram Live. She told her fans, “You guys have no idea like I miss Gregg so much,” while a fan responded to her, “I know you miss Gregg.”
During her live, she also reflected on their marriage and said, “There’s this old saying that, ‘You never miss a good thing till it’s gone,’ like that s**t is for real.” She continued, “Like, I didn’t even half the time realize how valuable Gregg was to my life or to us until he was gone.”
NeNe also added that she’s still adjusting to life without Gregg. “There are so many times when I want to be like, ‘Oh, Gregg would like that,’ you know. Then I have to remind myself that Gregg is not here.” She praised her late husband by saying he was great and credited him for helping her with her career. “He did so much to people my career and to support me.”
NeNe made it a point to say, “It’s hard for anybody to walk in his shoes. Gregg is like that guy-really. I was lucky and blessed by God to have such a great husband for so many years.” In 2021, Gregg Leakes lost his battle with stage three colon cancer.
The couple was married in 1997 until 2011 and then remarried two years later. After Gregg’s passing, NeNe has been linked with African entrepreneur, Nyoniesla Sioh. In 2023, she revealed that they had decided to take a break.
