O.J. Simpson’s estate has filed a lawsuit against his son, Justin Simpson.
According to reports, Simpson’s estate claims that Justin allegedly moved into his late father’s house without permission after he passed away. Malcolm LaVergne, the estate’s attorney, is also taking legal action against Justin’s company, Primary Holdings, LLC.
The lawsuit states that Justin’s company bought the home after the NFL star’s death to “stop creditors from seizing the property,” however, Justin ended up moving in after O.J.’s passing and is refusing to move out or pay back the estate for payments they made on the property.
LaVergne also claims that O.J. has made payments on his Florida residence and didn’t want it to be separate from the estate. Justin’s moving into the house contradicts O.J.’s will. The estate is seeking a $33.5 million judgment, which is owed to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
In 1997, O.J. Simpson was found liable for the 1994 deaths of Brown-Simpson and Goldman. They were found fatally stabbed outside of Nicole Brown-Simpson’s home. O.J. Simpson would be acquitted of the murder a year later.
The judgment also gained interest and has not been paid. The new amount that needs to be paid is about $100 million.
